Haye on His Dream Fight at Heavyweight: “He would try to rock me”

Former world champion at cruiserweight and heavyweight David Haye named the opponent he always wanted to face during his run at heavyweight.

“I always wanted to fight Vitali Klitschko.

I fought Wladimir, and he was the more precise, defensive boxer. But Vitali came to fight—he’d have given me chances because he would’ve tried to rock me, whereas Wladimir just wanted to win on points. That’s the fight I always wanted,” Haye said.

In the summer of 2011, Wladimir Klitschko defeated David Haye by unanimous decision.
