Haye: "Ngannou is a Legitimate World-Class Boxer"

Former champion David Haye shared his thoughts on the upcoming super heavyweight (over 90.7 kg) fight between Anthony Joshua (27-3, 24 KOs) and Francis Ngannou (0-1).

"Deep down, Ngannou thinks, 'I could crush you right now,' and he's right if we're talking about a no-rules fight. But in boxing, you only strike with your hands. Ngannou boxed against, as many believe, the best super heavyweight and, in the opinion of many people, won the fight. Anthony Joshua knows this; he has been warned. Francis is not just an MMA fighter. He is a legitimate world-class boxer who managed to win many rounds and knock down Tyson Fury," said Haye.

The fight between Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou will take place on March 8 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. David Haye retired from professional boxing in 2018 at the age of 37 after two consecutive losses to Tony Bellew (30-3-1, 20 KOs).
