Hatton Predicts KO in Fury-Usyk Fight

British former world champion Ricky Hatton commented on the upcoming bout between WBC heavyweight titleholder (over 90.7 kg) Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs) and WBA, WBO, IBF, and IBO champion Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs).

«I think Fury will be able to stop Usyk in the later stages of the fight. Tyson will use his height, try to reach him from a distance, and try to outbox Usyk, which I think he can do. Usyk will have his moments because he has good technique too, but I think Fury will gradually break him down.

If I were Tyson, I would focus on Usyk's body. I think there's a serious question about whether Usyk has a weak body after that situation with Dubois. There have been a few fights where he got hit in the ribs, and he didn’t take it too well.

If Tyson can focus a bit more on the body than usual, and then when he gets to the middle of the fight, impose his size – he can finish the fight early,» said Hatton.

The fight for the first undisputed world heavyweight championship since 1999 between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk will take place on May 18 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
