Hatton: "Joshua Has Enough Firepower"

Former world champion Ricky Hatton shared his thoughts on the upcoming fight between former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (27-3, 24 KOs) and former UFC champion Francis Ngannou (0-1, 0 KOs).

"We're in a state of suspense, aren't we? Was Ngannou better than we thought, or did Tyson take Ngannou too lightly? Or did Tyson not train as hard as he could, making Ngannou look as good as he did? There's a big question mark around Ngannou. We all know he can hit. But why was he landing on Tyson? Because Tyson took him lightly? No one is quite sure about all these questions. Tyson didn't physically look as good as usual. And he also had three fights with Wilder, which might have changed something in him. If you ask who I'd put my money on – I'd bet on AJ. He's an exceptional boxer. You don't become an Olympic gold medalist and a two-time world champion for nothing. He doesn't move to the side like Tyson Fury – so he'll be standing in front of Francis Ngannou. That worries me a bit. But I'd bet on AJ because he's confident in himself and his new team. I think he has enough firepower to stand up to Ngannou," Hatton conveyed to Boxing Scene. The Joshua vs. Ngannou showdown is scheduled for March 8 in Saudi Arabia.
