Devin Haney's father reveals the sum Gervonta turned down
Bill, the father of WBC lightweight champion Devin Haney, alleges that Gervonta Davis declined a $20 million offer to fight his son:
"Bro, you turned down 20 million. 20 million. You turned down 20 million. Guaranteed. 20 million, bro. From guaranteed 20 million. Really, bro?" exclaimed Bill Haney.
"You're still listening to this old [expletive]... Bill can't even get [expletive] on the phone he wants to talk to, but, of course, I turned down 20 million," wrote Gervonta in response to a fan's request to comment on this information.
"These [expletives] are clowns. If they want the fight to happen – tell them they know who to call," Gervonta added later during a live session on Instagram.
Earlier, Bill Haney had identified Gervonta as the most desired opponent for Devin.
