Haney's Team to Attend Review of Garcia's Doping Tests

American junior welterweight boxer Ryan Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) commented on the recent findings that PED 19-norandrosterone was not detected in his doping sample.

"Finally, you all realize that I haven't failed any doping tests. No banned substances, except for this mythical 'ostrich' substance (a play on words: ostrich – ostarine). And even then, the level was so low that it would have had no effect. They tried, but the lie did not hold. Thank God," said Garcia.

However, it is known that ostarine, a banned substance, was present in Ryan's system. The samples taken on April 19 and 20 will be retested on May 22.

Devin Haney's father, whom Ryan defeated in his last bout, stated that they would be present during the retesting of the doping samples.

"Please note that Global Sports Advocates was hired by Mr. Ryan Garcia in connection with his pending anti-doping case. Mr. Garcia is exercising his right to request the analysis of samples in the two tests in question (from April 19 and 20). We plan to send an independent observer to monitor the sampling and analysis at the SMRTL laboratory once you inform us of the date and time for the sampling and analysis of sample B. Finally, please let me know if I need to hire someone else for further communication between us. I have done everything possible to ensure that all parties are involved in accordance with your previous emails," said Mr. Haney Sr.

The loss to Ryan was Devin Haney's first in his professional career.
