Haney talked about his main goal of the match against the Ukrainian Lomachenko

Devin Haney, the undefeated lightweight world champion (29-0; 15 KOs), recently spoke about his primary objective in his upcoming match against Ukrainian boxer Vasyl Lomachenko (17-2; 11 KOs). According to Boxingnews 24, Haney stated the following:

“Stay tuned for May 20th. Devin Haney vs. Vasyl Lomachenko. It’s going to be a very tactical fight, chess. It could very well be a very entertaining fight due to the styles clash.I told him a long time ago, fight me now because it’s only going to get worse. I want to show how much stronger I am than Lomachenko at this stage of my career. I want this fight - although I could have left the 135-pound division long ago and gone higher."
