Haney’s Sparring Partner Compares Him to Mayweather

Troy Isley, a sparring partner of former world champion Devin Haney, spoke about Haney’s preparation for his upcoming fight against WBO welterweight titleholder Brian Norman.

“He reminded me of Floyd. He’s not the biggest knockout puncher, but power isn’t everything — it’s all about skill. He did a few things that reminded me of Mayweather.

Devin is an excellent fighter. He’s got a good jab and great distance control. Yeah, that’s what I believe. He’s very fast.

Haney will outbox him over 10–12 rounds,” Isley said.

The fight between Devin Haney (31-0, 15 KOs) and Brian Norman (28-0, 22 KOs) will take place on October 25 in London.
