Haney Senior Promises Cruz a Fight Against His Son

The father and trainer of WBC champion in the super lightweight division (up to 63.5 kg), Devin Haney (31-0, 15 KOs), Bill Haney, responded to the challenge from WBA title holder Isaac Cruz (26-2-1, 18 KOs) for a match against his son.

"Everyone said we only fought tomato cans. But we came up from Tijuana, reached the pinnacle, millions, and the undisputed title.

Pitbull, you'll get this fight. As soon as we're done with Ryan Garcia, I want to see if you'll keep talking so much.

I don't mean to disrespect Teofimo Lopez Sr., because they have a belt, and we have a title too. I wouldn't put anyone against the Lopezes because they would provide a very tough fight. But let Cruz keep talking. He's just speeding things up. And if you really want to achieve something, Devin Haney is the man you need to go through," said Haney Senior.

Devin Haney's next fight is against Ryan Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) on April 20 in New York, USA.

On the night of March 31, Isaac Cruz won by technical knockout in the 8th round against Rolando Romero (15-2, 13 KOs) in the fight for the WBA title in the super lightweight division.
