WBC junior welterweight (up to 63.5 kg) champion Devin Haney (31-1, 15 KOs) said he is not interested in a rematch with Ryan Garcia (25-1, 20 KOs).
"To be honest, I'm not very interested in a rematch. We saw this guy cheat, we saw who he is. I can't imagine ever being in the ring with him again, but you never know for sure.
Boxing is just a sport. He put my life at risk. Now it's deeper for me than boxing. Now I want to take this to another level. That night he could have done really dangerous things to me," said Haney.
Yesterday, on May 2nd, it was revealed that Ryan Garcia failed drug tests taken before his fight against Devin Haney. The fight took place on the night of April 21st, in which Ryan defeated Haney. Despite the loss, Devin remains the WBC champion, as Ryan didn't meet the weight limit and wasn't eligible for the title.
