American WBC lightweight champion Devin Haney (31-0, 15 KOs) is already planning his future beyond his meeting with Ryan Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs).
Haney has tasked his promoter, Eddie Hearn, to arrange a fight with Spaniard Sandor Martin (42-3, 15 KOs), who is the mandatory challenger for Devin's belt. On the night of April 21st, Haney will face Ryan Garcia, who failed to make weight and will not be eligible for the title, nor will he become champion even if he wins.
Martin secured a knockout victory over Mohamed El Marcouchi in his last fight in December 2023.
