WBC lightweight champion (up to 63,5 kg) Devin Haney (31-0, 15 KOs) has taken to his Twitter account to explain why his fight against Ryan Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) will take place in New York rather than Las Vegas.
"The reason the fight isn't happening in Vegas is because they don't want it to impact the ticket sales for Canelo's fight," Haney wrote.
The showdown between Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia is scheduled for April 20th at the Barclays Center, New York, USA.
Saúl Álvarez (60-2-2, 39 KOs) plans to make his ring return on May 4th in Las Vegas, though the name of his next opponent remains a mystery.
