WBC super lightweight (up to 63,5 kg) champion Devin Haney (31-0, 15 KOs) is confident in the commercial success of his fight against Ryan Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs), claiming that their matchup is a major event.
"I think we will sell about 1 million broadcasts because fans really want to see this fight.
It's a big and long-awaited event. Let's see what else Ryan comes up with—will he continue to play the madman or be himself? We don't know.
It's my time; I've got such a rhythm going that I can't be beaten. This fight won't be competitive," said Haney.
Haney and Garcia will meet on April 20th. The match will take place in New York. This will be Devin's first defense of his WBC title and Ryan's first fight for the belt in this weight class.
