Haney and Garcia Place a $500,000 Bet Before Their Fight

Before their upcoming fight for the WBC super lightweight title (up to 63.5 kg), champion Devin Haney (31-0, 15 KOs) and contender Ryan Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) have agreed on a hefty wager.

Haney has promised to pay $500,000 if he fails to make the weight limit of 63.5 kg. Ryan, in response, has not made a similar pledge. The bout is scheduled for April 20th in New York. On the eve of the fight, Ryan mentioned that the tickets for their matchup are priced too high.
