WBC lightweight (up to 63,5 kg) champion Devin Haney (30-0, 15 KOs) is convinced that after defeating Ryan Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs), there will be no point in a rematch.
"The world is worried about whether Ryan will show up to the fight. Look at him. What he's doing is not normal. It's not typical for someone preparing for the biggest fight of their life. I used to respect him, but now I've lost all respect for him. After April 20th, I don't want anything to do with him.
I don't see myself boxing him again. I see myself winning so easily, so dominantly, that a rematch would make no sense. Ryan is a guy who's not in his right mind," said Haney.
Previously, Devin accused his future opponent of using drugs. Garcia denied this claim.
The fight for the WBC belt is scheduled for April 20th in New York.
