Haney and Prograis Hold Their First Staredown (photo)

Regis Prograis (29-1, 24 KOs), the WBC World Champion in the first welterweight division, and Devin Haney (30-0, 15 KOs), the WBA, WBO, and IBG World Champion in the lightweight division, have had their initial face-off.

The fight between Prograis and Haney is scheduled for December 9th in the welterweight division, with Regis Prograis' title at stake.

The result of this fight could impact Denis Berinchik's chances for a title. Berinchik is the WBO Intercontinental lightweight champion. The President of the WBO mentioned during a recent conference that if Haney decides to stay in the welterweight division, Berinchik might have an opportunity for a title shot and mentioned two potential opponents.
