On September 21, at Wembley Stadium in London, UK, during the undercard of Anthony Joshua vs. Daniel Dubois, Hamzah Shiraz (21-0, 17 KOs) took on Tyler Denny (19-3-3, 1 KO) for the EBU European, WBC Silver, and Commonwealth Boxing Council middleweight titles (up to 72.5 kg).
The bout didn’t last long—early in the first round, Shiraz sent Denny to the canvas. Although Denny got back up, he was knocked down again in the second round, leading the referee to stop the fight. TKO 2.
