Gypsy King's Standoff: Will Fury Be the End of Usyk's European Reign?

WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs) believes he is the only one standing in the way of WBA, WBO, IBF, and IBO champion Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) dominating Europe:

"I am the only one who stands in the way of Usyk's total European domination. He beat all the British guys: Chisora, Joshua, Dubois. I'm the only one left. He has to come to my shore, but I can't be sunk in these waters. You have to pull out the long-range weapons.

If he can defeat me (though I know he can't), nothing will stand in his way of total domination anymore. But I will win because I am the Gypsy King. That's enough," Fury said.

Oleksandr Usyk defeated three Britons in turn: Dereck Chisora by judges' decision, Anthony Joshua twice, and Daniel Dubois by knockout. In the last six fights, Usyk defeated the British five times (also Tony Bellew by knockout in the cruiserweight division).

The fight against Tyson Fury for the title of absolute champion in the heavyweight division will occur on February 17 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
