Gvozdyk to Assist Alvarez in Preparations for Bivol Rematch

Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Gvozdyk has agreed to become a sparring partner for Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, the world champion of the super middleweight division, as he prepares for his rematch against Russian WBA light heavyweight champion, Dmytro Bivol.

Gvozdyk, a former world champion himself, feels that Alvarez was not fully prepared for his first bout with Bivol due to injury. This time, he hopes to help the Mexican champion be more prepared.

"I believe Canelo wasn't at his best during the previous training camp," Gvozdyk expressed. "This time he has invited me to join him as a sparring partner. I'm hopeful that our training will start in a month, and I intend to motivate him so that this time everything will turn out better," Gvozdyk shared in an interview with the "Dva Bokovy / Two Sides" YouTube channel.
