Former champion Oleksandr Gvozdyk (20-1, 16 KOs), in a comment for vRINGe, shared that he has a preference for whom he will be supporting in the potential fight between Dmitry Bivol (21-0, 11 KOs) and Artur Beterbiev (20-0, 20 KOs).
"Well, Beterbiev has aged. But, in my opinion, he's still strong enough. It's an interesting fight.
I think the chances are 50/50. I'm slightly leaning towards Beterbiev. But the main thing is that his age does not play a decisive role. But judging by the previous fight... Maybe he's not what he used to be. But I think he's still very strong.
I'll be servering for Beterbiev. But only because he beat me. And automatically, his victory elevates my resume. Only for that reason. But I don't have any personal fondness for Bivol or Beterbiev or vice versa, any dislike. I don't care. Only the sporting aspect matters," said Gvozdyk.
The Bivol and Beterbiev fight could take place in Saudi Arabia.
