The former light heavyweight world champion, Ukrainian Oleksandr Gvozdyk (17-1, 14 KOs), revealed the reasons behind his decision to make a comeback in the professional ring.
"Keeping myself in shape, visiting the gym and sparring from time to time, I realized that I’m hungry again. And why not try to return? Let's see what will come of it. I am motivated by titles, I am motivated by big names. However, next to the champions there are other serious names that motivate me. I'm ready to box, let's do it."
"I believe that when the flag of Ukraine is raised anywhere in the world, it gives additional motivation to my people in these difficult times. Yes, this is one of the main reasons for my decision to return. Glory to Ukraine".
As a reminder, on February 11th, Gvozdyk will be taking on Argentine Jose Miranda in a highly-anticipated bout. The match will be held in Camarillo, California, USA.
