In an interview with vRINGe, the coach of Ukrainian lightweight (up to 61.2 kg) Denys Berinchyk (18-0, 9 KOs) and Ready To Fight ambassador Yehor Golub discussed the professionalism of his protégé.
- What is Denys like in training camp? We know him as a showman. A charismatic figure. But what is he like in training camp? Is he more of a hard worker or a talent?
- He's both a hard worker and a talent. Denys is genuinely a unique individual. And that's not just as a boxer, but as a person too.
He's talented. He's very skilled. But he's also a hard worker. Just a very, very strong hard worker.
You know what we both like about our collaboration? That I'm also young. Today, he rode on rollers for 60 minutes. I ran alongside. He on a bicycle - I run next to him. I'm young, I also want to train. I'm not one of those coaches with a belly and in a tracksuit.
I also have three amateur boxers. Denys laughs, telling them: "You're lucky to have a young coach. He even plays video games with you. I wish I had a coach who would play games with me or football on the console."
Denys Berinchyk and Emanuel Navarrete (38-1-1, 31 KOs) will meet on the night of May 19 in San Diego, USA. The WBO lightweight title will be on the line.
