Ukrainian coach and Ready To Fight ambassador Egor Golub, in an interview with the YouTube channel Tike Myson, discussed what remains for his boxer, lightweight representative (up to 61.2 kg) Denys Berinchyk (18-0, 9 KOs), to announce the fight against the WBO junior lightweight champion (up to 59 kg) Emanuel Navarrete (38-1-1, 31 KOs).
– In early February, there was information about a specific date and location for the Berinchyk - Navarrete fight, stating it would be in California, May 18th. Is this information still current?
– Yes.
– Why then is there still no official announcement? What are both sides waiting for?
– Perhaps, there are some details left to confirm, and that's it, everything will be signed. But the date is already there.
– So, there's nothing threatening the fight?
– I don't think so, – Golub said.
In his last fight, Navarrete fought to a draw for the first time in his career against Robson Conceicao. Berinchyk outboxed Anthony Yigit by a decision in the summer of 2023.
