Golovkin Might Return to the Ring

Former champion and current president of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Kazakhstan, Gennadiy Golovkin, has announced that he does not rule out the possibility of returning to the ring.

"Would I be interested in a good offer? Yes. I would say, never say never. I feel great, I’m at the peak of my form, and if something interesting comes up, we will consider it," said Golovkin.

The 42-year-old Golovkin has not fought since September 2022, when he lost to Saul Alvarez (61-2-2, 39 KOs) by unanimous decision in the final part of their trilogy. The bout was for the title of undisputed super middleweight champion (up to 76.2 kg).

Currently, Golovkin's overall record stands at 42 wins, 37 of them by knockout (88.1%), 2 losses, and 1 draw.
