Golden Boy Signs Charles Conwell

Golden Boy Promotions has announced the signing of American boxer and WBC junior middleweight (up to 69.85 kg) mandatory challenger Charles Conwell (18-0, 13 KOs).

The vacant WBC belt will be contested on March 30th in a fight between American Sebastian Fundora (20-1-1, 13 KOs) and Ukrainian Serhii Bohachuk (23-1, 23 KOs). Conwell is likely to fight the winner of this match.

Conwell's last fight was on November 26, 2022, against Juan Carlos Abreu (26-7-1, 24 KOs), which he won by unanimous decision. In 2019, after a fight with Conwell, American boxer Patrick Day tragically passed away due to injuries sustained in the match.
