The spat began when Davis retweeted a video featuring Mayweather and claimed that Mayweather was not allowed to leave the UAE due to debts. Mayweather retorted by calling the WBA champion a derogatory term.

During this heated exchange, where Floyd and Gervonta were mocking each other online, Moton posted a photo with Mayweather captioned, "The best team in boxing."

Gervonta responded sharply:

"Your ass won't be on the card on June 15," Davis tweeted.
