Sources from The Ring report that the team of WBA lightweight champion (61.2 kg) Gervonta Davis has reached out to the camp of IBF and IBO titleholder Vasyl Lomachenko with an offer for a fight.
The proposal came after Davis’ March 1 clash in New York, where he fought Lamont Roach to a draw—the first stalemate of his career. Davis’ representatives inquired about the possibility of Lomachenko stepping into the ring against their fighter later this year.
However, Davis has already confirmed that his immediate priority is a rematch with Roach, even hinting at a potential date for the fight.
