Gervonta Davis vs. Lamont Roach Fight Postponed Again

The lightweight WBA champion (up to 61.2 kg), Gervonta Davis (30-0, 28 KOs), and Lamont Roach (25-1-1, 10 KOs) will now face off on a rescheduled date for the second time.

Sources close to Premier Boxing Champions report that the fight is now set for March 1. It will be part of a PBC pay-per-view event on Prime Video, with the venue and arena to be announced later.

Gervonta's promoter, Leonard Ellerbe, shared that the location of the bout will be revealed soon.

“Stay tuned for updates. Lamont Roach remains the opponent. It’s all about timing. Gervonta is the best out there. None of these guys can handle Tank—none.

I look forward to seeing him take down every challenger, because that’s what’s going to happen. I don’t want to name names, but it’s only a matter of time. Line them up, and Tank will destroy each one of them, no matter who they are,” said Ellerbe.

Initially, the Davis vs. Roach bout was scheduled for December 14, then moved to January 25.

Gervonta Davis last fought in June, securing an eighth-round knockout victory over Frank Martin (18-1, 12 KOs). That same month, Lamont Roach defeated Fearghal McCrory (16-1, 8 KOs) via technical knockout in the eighth round.
