Gervonta and Crawford Should Fight Three Times a Year

Promoter Eddie Hearn is adamant that WBO, WBC, and WBA welterweight champion Terence Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs) and WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis (29-0, 27 KOs) need to step into the ring more frequently.

"The thing is, you've got to stay active. Terence is going to be out of the ring for almost a year again. Have a fight in Omaha, defend your titles. Stay relevant and cement your superstar status, otherwise, people will forget about you. Gervonta is another example. Tank is a superstar, but he needs to be more active. These guys should be fighting three times a year," Hearn stated.

Crawford last fought in July of the previous year against Errol Spence Jr. (28-1, 22 KOs), securing a victory by technical knockout in the ninth round. This win earned him the status of the first two-time undisputed champion in the four-belt era. In April of the same year, Gervonta Davis knocked out Ryan Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) in the seventh round. Since then, he hasn't climbed back into the ring and currently has no confirmed opponent.
