Garcia Threatens to Sue New York Commission

American boxer in the super lightweight division (up to 140 lbs) Ryan Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) is threatening to sue the New York Commission. The reason is their desire to assess Ryan's mental health before his fight against WBC champion Devin Haney (31-0, 15 KOs), following his recent social media posts.

"I will sue the New York Commission, and here's why. They're trying to question my mental state. I said, 'Okay, on what grounds are you conducting a mental health assessment?' – 'Your tweets and posts.' I said, 'Okay, isn’t that my constitutional right to free speech?' Because I post what I want. Grounds for assessing my mental state? That's curious. Now you're playing with my constitutional rights. I will sue you. I will sue you for damage to reputation and honor. Actually. They wouldn't test Mike Tyson if he was fighting in New York, but they'll test me. Hmm, sounds very cunning to me. And I love Mike, and he loves me. Can't wait for them to invite me to court because that's where I'll win," said Ryan.

The fight between Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney is scheduled for April 20 in New York, USA.
