Garcia vs Romero: Times Square Show PPV Numbers Revealed

The number of pay-per-view (PPV) buys has been revealed for the May 2nd boxing night at Times Square in New York, USA.

The main event of the evening featured a showdown between Ryan Garcia and Rolando Romero for the WBA super lightweight title, in which Romero won by unanimous decision.

In addition, Devin Haney defeated José Ramírez via unanimous decision, while WBO junior welterweight champion Teofimo Lopez successfully defended his title against Arnold Barboza — UD 12.

According to The Ring, early estimates point to around 260,000 PPV sales, though the final number is expected to be higher. Throughout the day, approximately 400,000 people visited Times Square.

For comparison, the fight between IBO super middleweight champion Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn drew about 620,000 PPV buys.
