Garcia: "I'll Knock Out Haney in the Second Round"

Ahead of his fight against WBC super lightweight (up to 63,5 kg) champion Devin Haney (31-0, 15 KOs), Ryan Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) responded to concerns about his mental state. The fiery contender promises a quick resolution to the fight, followed by a party.

"I'm fast. I'm fast and strong. You've seen how quick it was. I can do this all day. This type of motivation—all the shit I've been through.

Yeah, I'm a bit crazy, but I'm ready to destroy this guy.

You all didn't talk about Mike Tyson when he was like this. Now you respect him. You should respect me. I've seen shit I shouldn't have seen, but now I'm a killer.

I haven't tested positive for any drugs. That's all I need to say. This is me.

No consequences if I don't make weight. I'll skip this shit if I want. It's my event. I'm joking. Man, I'll make the weight. It's easy.

I know I'll win, bro. Dehydrated, you can't even play ping-pong, let alone fight in front of millions of people. Fact.

You'll see an event like you've never seen before. I have something incredible planned—you have no idea. I'm talking about the fight entrance, the show, and then in the ring, it'll be a good first round. Maybe I'll feel him out, see what he's doing, and then I'll start beating him. Touch him a little first, and then, suddenly, within 30 seconds—I'll drop him, let his ass get up.

In the second round, I'll knock him the fuck out. Then we're off to party. We'll go wild.

I heard that when Devin Haney gets hit in sparring, he changes his sparring partner. That's what I heard. I never change them," said Garcia.

The fight between Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney will take place on April 20th in New York, USA.
