Ortiz’s Trainer on Fight With Ennis: “The Fight Can Be Agreed at Any Moment”

Robert Garcia, trainer of interim WBC Junior Middleweight champion Vergil Ortiz, commented on a potential fight between his fighter and interim WBA titleholder Jaron Ennis in the same division.

“Look, this fight can be agreed at any moment. We’re ready for anything, but we have many options. Ortiz is the mandatory challenger for Sebastian Fundora, so we would also like that fight.

Spence is here. Charlo is here. You know, Boots is here as well — he wants this fight, so any of these big matchups can happen. We’re ready for any of them,” Garcia said.

On the night of November 9, Vergil Ortiz (24-0, 22 KOs) defeated Erickson Lubin by TKO in the 2nd round. After the fight, Ortiz had a face-off with Jaron Ennis (35-0, 31 KOs).
