American boxer Ryan Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) is confident that Saúl Álvarez (60-2-2, 39 KOs) must face David Benavidez (28-0, 24 KOs). However, he explained that for victory, it needs to happen now.
"He has to fight Benavidez. Who wants to live in the past? This is the biggest fight. You're Canelo, the face of boxing. Why aren't you doing it?
Who will win? Canelo. If he doesn't wait too long.
It will be a tough fight, but I think Canelo's experience will win him the fight," Garcia said on The Breakfast Club radio show.
David Benavidez is set to meet Aleksandr Gvozdyk this summer. Álvarez has a fight scheduled for May 4th. Among the potential opponents are Jaime Munguia and Edgar Berlanga.
Ryan Garcia was part of Eddie Reynoso's team – Saul Álvarez's coach.
