Fury will fight Ngannou if Usyk fight falls through

Tyson Fury, the reigning WBC world heavyweight champion, has previously stated that if he and his team are unable to agree on fight with Ukrainian Alexander Usyk, the current IBF, WBA, WBO, and IBO heavyweight world champion, his next fight will be against former UFC champion, Francis Ngannou, instead.

Today this information was confirmed by the British boxer’s co-promoter, Frank Warren.

“This is a scenario that Tyson mentioned in our conversation. Yes, this option is being considered if the fight with Usyk falls through. But, I doubt that will happen. Right now, we are working hard on the Fury-Usyk fight. However, a possible fight with Ngannou is also an open possibility,” he stated.

It should be noted that earlier, Fury said that he would be ready to fight Ngannou under the following conditions: a cage fight according to the rules of boxing, 4 ounce gloves, and with Mike Tyson as the referee.
