British boxer Tyson Fury defeated Derek Chisora to retain the WBC heavyweight world title. The match took place in London at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium.
From the first rounds, Fury took the initiative, worked as the number one, pressed the opponent to the ropes and delivered a large number of blows. Chisora tried to counterattack and responded with his lunges, as well as hitting the body of the world champion.
In general, Tyson controlled the course of the fight and took round after round. Fury didn't give Derek a chance to get close to him or land an accurate and powerful blow. In the eighth round, the champion went on the attack, but after several powerful blows, Chisora managed to stand on his feet. But already in the tenth round, Fury delivered several accurate blows, after which the referee decided to stop the fight.
It was the third face-to-face match between Derek and Tyson. Before that, the Gypsy King defeated Chisora twice — in 2011 and 2014. For the undefeated Fury, this victory was the 33rd in the professional ring. Chisora, in turn, suffered his 13th defeat.
Fury's next fight could be against Ukrainian WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight title holder Oleksandr Usyk, who was present at the Briton's fight with Chisora. The battle between Usyk and Chisora can take place in February-March 2023.
However, the most interesting thing in this match happened after its end. Tyson Fury was told during the interview that Alexander Usyk was in the hall. The Brit immediately went to the side where Usyk was sitting, calling the Ukrainian into the ring. "Alexander Usyk, you're next," Chisora shouted. Let's do it, rabbit!”
Further insults to Usyk followed from Fury, but Alexander took everything calmly.
It is obvious that he will answer the Briton already in the ring.
