Fury's Uncle Labels Usyk as Most Dangerous Opponent

Peter Fury, the uncle and former trainer of Tyson Fury, commended the undefeated WBA-Super, WBO, IBF, IBO, and The Ring heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk from Ukraine.

The British former trainer, who previously commented on a potential tournament featuring the "Gypsy King," Usyk, Deontay Wilder, and Anthony Joshua, warned his nephew not to underestimate the Ukrainian, who has rightfully earned his status as a world champion.

"Tyson is clearly superior to Joshua and Wilder, but Usyk is a different game. He will give a tough fight to anyone," Peter Fury told talkSPORT. "He's not going to be an easy walk in the park for anybody, and he's not a small heavyweight."

"This fight will be very evenly matched. It could go either way. Usyk is a dangerous opponent. I think everyone on Tyson's team is aware of that, so he can't be overlooked. Usyk has rightfully earned his position; he's a serious fighter."

Peter Fury welcomes Wladimir Klitschko-Tyson Fury rematch, which could take place at Wembley next year

It's worth noting that Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury could not reach an agreement for a fight to claim the title of the undisputed world champion in the heavyweight division. Now, the Ukrainian is set to face mandatory challenger Daniel Dubois.
