Fury's Sparring Partner Claims to Have Injured Him with a Clean Hit

Croatian heavyweight boxer Agron Smakic (20-2, 18 KOs), Tyson Fury's sparring partner, commented on the sparring session that resulted in the WBC champion sustaining a cut:

"It was a clean hit, so I don't feel bad about it. Fury talks a lot, but he knows how the sparring with me went," said Smakic.

Earlier reports indicated that Smakic accidentally hit Fury with his elbow, leading to the cut.

The Usyk vs. Fury fight was initially scheduled for February 17 but was postponed due to Tyson's injury. The bout will now take place on May 18.
