Fury: «Usyk, Don’t Hit Me Please»

WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs) responded to comments from his upcoming opponent, WBA, WBO, IBF, IBO, and The Ring champion Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs), suggesting that Tyson might have lost weight due to nerves.

- Your shape looks fantastic. I just heard in my earpiece that Usyk said when you're nervous, you lose weight. What do you have to say about that?

- I’m very nervous, Usyk, please don’t hit me on Saturday night, please.

- How important is this victory on Saturday for your legacy and the history you leave in boxing?

- Let me tell you. If I were fighting one of the homeless on Saturday night, it would be very important to me. Every fight I’ve ever had is important to me.

Every small fight along the way, any, 6, 8, or 10 rounds – they’ve all been very important to me. Every time I fell, every time I got up, it all led me to this moment. This is destiny, – said Fury.

Usyk and Fury will meet on May 18 in a bout for the undisputed heavyweight championship.

Earlier, Fury revealed his current weight.
