If a deal with WBA, WBO, and IBF champion Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) falls through, WBC super heavyweight titleholder Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs) has revealed his desired next opponent.
Fury has expressed interest in facing former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou (17-3), and has even declared his readiness to compete inside the Octagon.
"My offer to Ngannou is on the table. If Usyk refuses to fight, then I aspire to fight him next. I'm going to make a deal for two fights, in the boxing ring and in the cage. On the other hand, I never said I would fight him in the boxing ring. I always talked about the cage, so let's do it. In the boxing ring, this is a meaningless confrontation. It’d be like I was fighting someone at the local gym. But in the cage, with 4oz gloves, anything can happen," said Fury.
