Fury, Takam, Bakole, Parker: Super Heavyweight Fight Preview

On October 28th, a very special evening of boxing will take place in Saudi Arabia, with the main attraction undoubtedly being the clash between WBC champion Tyson Fury and former UFC champion Francis Ngannou. Here's everything you need to know about the upcoming bouts.

Fury Won't Defend His Championship Belt

Despite the extensive promotion and buildup, the bout between Fury and Ngannou is not a genuine title fight; it's an exhibition match. The victor will be determined by judges' decision or a knockout, but these results won't be officially recorded. Additionally, there's nothing at stake except for a belt specially crafted by WBC for this event, more of a commemorative prize than a championship.

Fabio Wardley vs. David Adeleye

A British showdown between two undefeated boxers. Wardley has knocked out 15 of his 16 opponents, while Adeleye boasts 11 knockouts in 12 fights. These young Brits are so eager for the match that they engaged in a scuffle during the announcement of the Fury-Ngannou evening. Fabio sustained a minor cut, but it won't hinder the fight.

Carlos Takam vs. Martin Bakole

This battle features two fighters who have both bested Olympic champion Tony Yoka. Bakole was the first to defeat Yoka, and in a match against Takam, Yoka attempted a comeback after his loss. Bakole's entire promotional campaign revolves around a sparring knockout of Usyk, a fact known only to him and his trainer.

Joseph Parker vs. Simon Kean

New Zealander Parker will fight on the undercard of his friend Tyson Fury. This time, he faces a strong and aggressive opponent, Simon Kean. The Canadian hasn't suffered a loss since 2018 but hasn't defeated anyone particularly notable during that time, only facing mid-level fighters and veteran ring professionals. Nonetheless, there should be plenty of physical strength on show for an exciting bout.

This packed boxing showcase will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on October 28th. For details on where and when to watch, you can refer to the information provided here.
