In the Eye of the Storm: Fury's 11-Stitch Tale Before the Usyk Showdown!

WBC heavyweight kingpin Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs) spilled the beans on the cut that delayed his super-fight with WBA, WBO, IBF, IBO, and The Ring champ Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs):

"Was lined up for 12 sparring rounds with four bruisers on Friday. Come the fifth round, caught an elbow right in the eye—boom, cut wide open.

I rushed off to the ER, and they stitched me up with 11 stitches. Got the whole doctor's note to prove it.

Stuff happens, doesn't it? First time for everything, including getting sidelined before a match," Fury shared.

The mega clash between Usyk and Fury, initially set for February 17 in Saudi Arabia, has been rescheduled. Mark your calendars for May 18.
