“I Have Nothing Left to Prove”: Fury Shuts Down Boxing Comeback Talk

Former heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury has made it clear — he has no intention of returning to professional boxing.

I keep hearing talk about the return of the ‘Gypsy King’ — but why? To fight for titles again? I already have 22 of them. I got thrown off track, that’s all. Credit to them — they used me. But I’m happy.

I’m proud of what I’ve achieved, what I’ve done, and where I’ve been. I’ve traveled the world and come back. It was the Gypsy King era — not a bad one at all. But I don’t want to step into the ring and get punched in the face again. For what? What’s the point? I keep asking myself those questions.

I’ve retired, and I’m staying retired. I have nothing left to prove and nowhere to return. God bless you all,” said Fury.

In 2024, Tyson Fury suffered two defeats to Oleksandr Usyk, after which he officially announced his retirement from professional boxing.
