Fury to Invite Boxer Who Lost on Joshua-Ngannou Undercard to New Camp Before Usyk Fight

WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs) has disclosed his plans to invite a specific boxer for sparring sessions as part of his preparations for the upcoming fight against WBA, WBO, IBO, and IBF champion Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs).

"Lerena is a good guy. He and his coach Peter are very good people. I communicate well with them and will likely bring Kevin back to my camp in preparation for Usyk," Fury said.

Kevin Lerena is no stranger to Fury's camp, having participated in sparring sessions during previous preparations. Then, on March 8, on the undercard of the Joshua-Ngannou fight, he lost to Justis Huni by judges' decision. The Usyk-Fury bout for the division's undisputed title is set to take place on May 18 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
