Former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury expressed his dissatisfaction that the IBF title will not be at stake in the rematch against Oleksandr Usyk.
“Of course, I’m not that good of a boxer to win their belt again. I’m not even in their top 15. I don’t understand what’s going on, especially after I paid them a ton of money just to fight for that crap. The IBF title is a piece of junk, and I’ll write on it when I take it,” Fury said.
The IBF champion is Daniel Dubois, who obtained the title when Oleksandr Usyk vacated it. Dubois then defended the title in a bout against Anthony Joshua, winning by knockout in the 5th round.
The second encounter between Usyk and Fury is scheduled for December 21 in Saudi Arabia.
