Fundora's Promoter Plans Rematch with Tszyu

A surprising turn in the future planning for the current WBC and WBO super welterweight champion Sebastian Fundora (21-1-1, 13 KOs). Promoter Sampson Lewkowicz states that a fight against the WBO, WBC, and WBA welterweight champion Terence Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs) is not the top priority.

"We all wanted to arrange the fight with Tszyu so much that many of our agreements were made verbally. Time was short. But I want to make it clear that Fundora's team will honor the agreement. My word is always as good as a signed contract. Tim Tszyu, your rematch is ready when you are.

It all depends on Tim. If he doesn't accept the rematch, we'll go for the mandatory WBO defense or a fight against Spence. Whatever the WBO says, our priority is the rematch with Tim Tszyu," Lewkowicz said.

On Monday, April 1st, the WBO ordered Fundora and Crawford to begin negotiations for a fight.
