Winner of Fundora vs. Tszyu to Face Crawford

Insider Mike Coppinger reports that World Boxing Organization (WBO) President Francisco Valcarcel has announced that the winner of the bout between super welterweight (up to 69,85 kg) Sebastian Fundora (20-1-1, 13 KOs) and WBO champion Tim Tszyu (24-0, 17 KOs) must fight former undisputed world champion in two weight divisions, Terence Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs).

"WBO President Francisco Valcarcel stated that the winner of the Tim Tszyu vs. Sebastian Fundora fight must begin negotiations with the mandatory challenger within five days after their match.

The mandatory challenger is P4P king Terence Crawford, who is the WBO 'super champion' at welterweight. If Tszyu wins, as expected, a significant fight against Crawford could happen in the summer," said Coppinger.

Fundora was supposed to meet Ukrainian contender Serhii Bohachuk (23-1, 23 KOs) in a fight for the full WBC championship belt. As a result, Fundora and Tszyu, who is not ranked by the WBC, will compete for this belt instead. The boxing event will take place on March 30 in Las Vegas.
