American contender for the WBC and WBO super welterweight titles, Sebastian Fundora (20-1-1, 13 KOs), shared his thoughts on the upcoming fight against WBO champion Tim Tszyu (24-0, 17 KOs).
"How long did it take to decide to fight Tszyu? It took milliseconds. We were ready for this opportunity. I was already supposed to fight for the vacant WBC belt, they added the WBO, and it was an opportunity we couldn't miss.
The difference between Bogachuk and Tszyu? They're similar. Bogachuk is, of course, a bit taller, but apart from that, Tim Tszyu applies pressure, strong punch – an orthodox fighter, just like Bogachuk.
This is a big fight. It's the first time Amazon Prime collaborates with PBC, so it will be the unveiling of boxing's future… Here I begin my legacy.
It's a dream come true. The fact that I'm fighting on such a stage, at such an event, on PPV, in Las Vegas, T-Mobile Arena – it's a dream come true.
It's important. My father got his first world champion half a year ago – my sister. We're going to do it again on Saturday. In my eyes, he'll become the Coach of the Year.
I don't care what Tim Tszyu is going to do. I'm focused on this fight. That's how I'm going to become the world champion.
This is a unification fight in the super welterweight division. It's the best fight in this weight category, and it will crown a new king of super welterweight," said Fundora.
Tim Tszyu and Sebastian Fundora will meet on March 30th in Las Vegas, USA.
