Froch: "Fury is Making a Fool of Himself"

Former world super middleweight (up to 76.2 kg) champion, British boxer Carl Froch, says Tyson Fury's statements about Oleksandr Usyk are nonsensical.

"I think if Fury is going to whip Usyk, diminishing his achievements and writing him off as not a heavyweight and not a very good boxer, he's going to look like a fool. It will look ridiculous.

If Tyson Fury wants to say that Usyk is nothing, just an inflated middleweight, that's not very nice. It looks laughable.

He should give him his due. Deep down, I think he knows he's in trouble. So he ought to show respect where it's due.

But part of his game is usually about belittling the opponent, writing him off, getting into his head, upsetting him in the ring.

He did this with Klitschko throughout the fight from the first to the 12th round. I think Tyson is in trouble; it's really going to be tough for him in this fight," Froch said for InstantCasinos.

The fight between Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) and Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs) is set to take place on May 18th in Saudi Arabia.
