Froch Doesn’t Rule Out a Boxing Return — And Has a Potential Opponent

Carl Froch, Eddie Hearn / Pro Boxing Fans

Former world champion Carl Froch responded to the possibility of a showdown with former MMA fighter Darren Till.

“I’m going to pop into Rob McCracken’s next week and start working on the heavy bag and with the mitts.

I feel great, I’m 48. I don’t feel 48 — I don’t drink or smoke. I live clean, as you know. Sometimes I’ll have a pint of Guinness, a shot of tequila or whatever. But I never get hammered, I eat properly. I feel great. So why not? Why not clock someone in the head if he’s a mouthy idiot.

I’m not making any decisions yet. Listen, Darren Till means absolutely nothing to me. If the fight happens, Kalle Sauerland will probably want to do it because he promotes Misfits. Eddie Hearn has also reached out. I’ve been texting Eddie Hearn a bit old-school via SMS.

So who knows? Maybe I’ll decide when I get back in the gym and put a few rounds on the bag,” Froch said.

Carl Froch (33-2, 24 KOs) hasn’t boxed since 2014, when he retired on a five-fight winning streak, four of those by stoppage.

Darren Till has three boxing bouts to his name, two of which ended by knockout.

Till issued the challenge to Froch following his knockout win over Luke Rockhold.
